The Back-to-School Sneaker Drive and Block Party started with a simple goal: to support families across the D.C. community. We believe a new pair of shoes isn't just a shoe — it's confidence walking into a classroom.
This year, we're going even bigger. New sneakers, packed backpacks, fresh supplies — and a block party that lets the whole community know: we see you, we love you, and we're here.

Every student deserves to start the year with new sneakers on their feet and the confidence to walk into any room. This year we're going bigger than ever — our goal is 1,000 pairs distributed to kids across the D.C. area.

Drop off new or gently used sneakers at Capital City Church. We accept all youth sizes. Deadline to donate: August 3rd.

No time to shop? No problem. A financial donation lets us buy exactly what kids need. Every dollar goes directly to supplies and sneakers.
$30 = 1 student fully supplied
$60 = 1 pair of sneakers
$150 = 5 fully stocked backpacks
